Yeah I use a voip number, I'm aware. It's like 5 bucks a year for a decent one. Just saying, phone service is a luxury when you're broke. You can get a number this way wayyyy cheaper.

If they're doing Uber or something though, that'll require a real one

No shit? The last time I looked for voip service they were mad expensive because they were all priced for businesses. I’m no stranger to buying minutes from Walmart but I had no idea you could get a number that cheap

Yep, tons of apps. Need wifi to use it, but choose your number then a couple bucks to secure it for the years and so on

That's not what I'm saying lol, but i see how it can be read that way.

Phone plans are just expensive. I am broke, so I use wifi for everything and a voip when I need to call.

I still have a phone. They're pretty important. Paying like 50+ bucks a month is out of the question though for me as I am poor and used to not having it.

From my perspective this is not a controversial take, as I am used to it. I forget the normality of paying this extra money.

was just making a joke about how chuds, especially boomers (but sometimes even younger ones) like to take cheap shots with MiLLeNniaL stereotypes
