When you listen to podcasts, it seems like it'd be fun to do a podcast, but then you try and it turns out you and your friends all suck* at this-- but when you play DnD, you're still able to have a fun fantasy adventure, even tho none of you are actually any good at being a warlock.

The podcast RPG would have character classes, and abilities, and probably an artificial system for pleasing and displeasing the audience so you can do an epic riff that the audience loves without actually being funny or anybody laughing. (You'd just get in-game recognition for a successful action)

What are some character classes? What are some good abilities? What character classes are the hosts of various podcasts? (Are Will Menaker and Ira Glass the same class with different archetypes? Felix is a divination class with a gamer archetype?)

Does a game like this already exist?

Is this the dumbest thing you've ever heard or does this sound like a remotely fun thing?

The sad thing is that if such a game does ever exist, and it's good, then uncreative hacks will record actual podcasts where they just play the podcast RPG for an audience, or maybe that's fine, idk.

*to any friends reading this, you don't suck, sorry I said you suck, friends.

Sounds like something Grant Howitt would write, could very well exist in the dark depths of DriveThruRPG or /tg/'s Da Archive
