Is this a good maps app? A coworker told me it doesn't spy on you, which I found...dubious. But I can't find any info either way on that question.

Are there any good mapping apps that don't track you constantly? Bc what I use now is not ideal

      maps me was taken over by a shady data mining company, the open source fork is organic maps.

        It isn't true. F-droid is full of apps that don't spy on you.

    Osmand is very good and full of features, but the interface is clunky. I use it for biking because you can configure how much you tolerate slopes and avenues.

      im also now reading about Magic Earth, which seems pretty good and privacy-oriented. Do you know anything about that one?

        I haven't heard of it. It does not seem to be open source, so that's a red flag. If this software is not in the commons, who's working on it, where do they get the money?
