The Metropolitan Railway was the very first underground railway in the world, and opened to the public on this day in 1863. It served London from then until 1933, for 70 years. It was also known as the Met. Former Met tracks and stations are used by the London Underground's Metropolitan, Circle, District, Hammersmith & City, Piccadilly, Jubilee and Victoria lines, and by Chiltern Railways and Great Northern.

Its main line headed northwest from the financial district in the City of London to what would later become Middlesex. Its first line connected the main-line railway termini at Paddington, Euston, and King's Cross to the City. The first section was built beneath the New Road using cut-and-cover between Paddington and King's Cross and in tunnel and cuttings beside Farringdon Road from King's Cross to near Smithfield, near the City. It opened to the public on 10 January 1863 with gas-lit wooden carriages hauled by steam locomotives, the world's first passenger-carrying designated underground railway.

    So here in México the gov decided to imprint more money with new designs for all the bills. One example is the Axolotl 50 pesos bill

    So after some months the current data shows that the 50 and 20 pesos bills arent in circulation much (as in people are not using them) and the reason is people are saving them because they really like the designs especially the Axolotl one and the 50 pesos bill is the most used of all the bills in the economy so the gov may have to print more but that will cause more inflation, its a very funny situation

    In short, im not going to give away my axolotl bills

      what are ways Mexico is better than USA btw, sometimes I consider emigrating from USA because honestly I cannot envision spending the rest of my life around other Americans (they're all fucking sociopaths) and I'm of Mexican descent anyway so might as well just fuck off to "where I'm from"

        we have good public college in my opinion, Free and universal healthcare, its easier to buy a house here. Corruption and Crime are a problem here but there are no popular fascist groups like in the US so that a plus in my opinion, you can get Mex nationality if one of your parents have it, also better food

          both my parents are Mexican and Spanish is technically my first language but I'm still an American so I imagine it would be a huge culture shock

          and yeah while cartels are an issue I'm honestly more scared of the Trumpoid/fascist elements here because honestly I feel like foreigners do not grasp how completely fucking insane these people are, if they get any sort of power (and they kinda already do) it's going to be....fun

          everyone acts like it's not an issue but it's not going to be long before they start openly terrorizing people (they already are, they're just confined to small towns apparently) and you're going to see these guys riding around like a mayo, fascist version of CJNG in lifted Punisher trucks and machine guns

          As far as I can tell, cartels are basically non-ideological and for the most part just want your money/land
