Like holy shit, if you're disillusioned with public school, just send your kids to a Montessori school if you can. They usually have better scholarship programs than traditional private schools, and using those programs can result in preschool and lower school educations that are less broken and cheaper than public schools.
What are the pros/cons of Montesorri? I barely understand what it's all about, and it seems tricky to research without stumbling into brainworms (but maybe I should just put in the effort?)

My mum kinda was Montessori by herself when I was a kid, but she didn't want me in a Steiner school because Steiner was a racist and antisemite
