Is that not what socialism with Chinese characteristics essentially is? Good for China, not necessarily good for everyone

Me saying that is in no way saying we can’t criticize them for it. There’s plenty of aspects of the Chinese socialist project I’m happy criticizing without being critical of the entire project. I just also know that’s not a conversation to have in front of libs and reactionaries

I don’t want to start a struggle session but like, how is this a good thing? It’s funny, for sure, but averting war (not that china necessarily even could have at that late hour) would be a good thing, no?

Russia and China are almost certainly already trading intelligence information through back channels, not doing so would be completely stupid since China is very much interested in whatever information they can get about the US in Asia/Pacific and Russia is still very much an intelligence powerhouse on their own.

It is definitely a good thing IMO the weird thing here is USA being entirely confrontational with China but then turning around and thinking that that China are just going to play ball with whatever their intentions are. I can see Chinese officials wanting to share the information just out of spite too.

I personaly think it was hilarious, if the USA wants China's cooperation they need to start changing their anti-China rethoric yesterday.

Anyway the bigger picture is things like this are not just single actions on their own, we can only speculate the amount of Russia-China cooperation beyond trade at this point but this is completely expected and fine imo, actions should not be judged in a vacuum.

This seems really strange to me considering Xi was on the phone with Putin and said he supported negotiations with Ukraine.
