They require more personally-identifiable information than other apps and I haven't had time to see whether there are spoofing options.
The only thing that's required is a mobile number, which is a high bar, but equivalent to What'sApp and other apps of its class. Twitter is just as identifiable these days.
I can use Twitter via third party apps with no logins + multiple tunnels tho

Probably not enough to meet your standard, but according to internal FBI documents tg is the hardest messaging app for them to subpeona (probably cause it has relatively few Western ties). They may disclose your phone number and IP address though, if you're part of a confirmed terrorist investigation.
Makes sense! I'm trying to figure out a strategy to get a SIP number anonymously. It's not going well, lol.
