Similar to Christianity’s fascist bankrollers in the US, new age spirituality is full of right-wing grifters and has a robust fash pipeline. If there are left-wing variants, I’d love to hear about them, but my guess is that most of them will have a deeper tradition than the amalgam of conspiracy and racist caricature of “foreign” religions that makes up most new age spirituality belief

I haven’t heard that, but it makes sense, at least in right-adjacent circles. There’s kind of that rhizome structure that a lot of internet communities who are structured around believe have where you can jump from one to the other and believe whatever collection of them suits your needs. But of course antisemites have an active contingent who is well versed in infiltration and propaganda, so the spread of that idea is pretty common, especially since a lot of problems legitimately do arise from a small minority controlling a disproportionate portion of the world’s wealth. It’s just not the Jews lol
