Junipers are tough. Parts of them are always dying, even as they're putting on new growth. Love seeing them out in the wild though, big half dead old grizzled bastards growing happily sideways. They are the embodiment of the duality of trees

I'm fairly certain what did my child in was the two weeks in february where it went back and forth between the daily temp being ~4°C and shooting up to ~24°C the next day before dropping back down to freezing, rinse and repeat. It is a shimpaku though so I figured it'd bounce back without any problems and even gave it a nice pruning back in December.
:shrug-outta-hecks: It's still getting fertilized and watered normally throughout the rest of the growing season as I have faith that my comrade will return.

Just making sure. Folks think they can keep bonsai indoors and like you're aware, only a few dudes can survive indoors
