Was Trump's pick actually worse? I don't follow electoralism horse races in states I don't live in.
I don't know anything about these men. Looking at their wikipedias: David Perdue, Trump's pick, publicly called the 2020 election rigged and that the result should be overturned. He was also CEO of Dollar General, and was being investigated for insider trading during his time as a US senator. Brian Kemp was accused by Stacey Abrams of voter suppression in the 2018 gubernatorial election and put in place anti-mask policies when COVID kicked off. Seems like a "six of one, half a dozen of the other" type situation to me.
Literally the only reason Trump dosen't like Kemp is that Kemp didn't steal the Georgia election for him. Otherwise they are the exact same people.
Well, because on of them isn't friends with Trump. So now democracy is saved.
