some people saying it's also possible they're diluting the gas, unsure of the plausibility of that or if it would cause it not to smell. But I was at the gas station yesterday I was able to smell the gas.

      Okay I should add in that the smell is an intentional additive to aid in leak finding and general safety; gasoline and natural gas actually have no inherent smell. Undetectable explosive gas is unfun for everyone.

      There is a slight chance that there's a regional supply chain fuckup, which given how healthy our supply chains are these days is not impossible.

        That's true for natural gas, but gasoline isn't odorized. Most of it's smell comes from a mix of different volatile organics in it like xylene, different cycloalkenes, and historically benzene
