I have spilled coffee into this keyboard a dozen times, but just as you can fix too much alcohol by soaking in coffee, you can fix too much coffee by pouring alcohol into the keyboard, and putting it under a fan to dry for a day.
I usually go ham on the alcohol to bring them back yeah. Mechanical ones I find don't clean up as nice as the rubber dome ones. I can douse this thing in Isopropyl and its good to go, when I tried that with the mech boards I had the switches would feel gunky or crusty.
key travel distance I'm guessing, most chiclet boards have very little travel.
