They just passed what they described as the most significant gun legislation in the last 30 years, and it did NOTHING that would have prevented this.
Enhanced background checks for under 21's, making 'straw purchases' have more severe consequences, and slightly more money for some specialized courts. That does nothing to stop or even slow down someone trotting out to buy an AR to shoot up their town's pumpkin festival or whatever the fuck. But the saddest part?
That putrid bill IS the most significant nationwide gun legislation this country has seen in 30 years.
