There is no "polarization", just the conservatives getting ever more violent and reactionary and the libs too weak and cowardly to do anything about it
One side wants an immediate return to feudal theocracy where the rich feast upon the poor while the other side wants a gradual slide to feudal theocracy where the rich feast upon the poor.
I'm convinced that it's just both sidesing liberals sometimes paying lip service to trans rights, while reactionaries escalate their antics a billion times harder.
