at this point there are a lot of gachas that unironically actually arent worse than the industry standard when it comes to predatory microtransactions, (which is still bad in an absolute sense and im not recommending them personally to op) but the more relevant issue with them imo is that their character designs tend to be even more objectifying and male gaze oriented than ur average video game character
Yes I'd say Arknights isn't very pushy on microtransactions for a mobile game, still not a massive fan of gambling mechanics in general but the gameplay makes up for it. It definitely has a bit of objectification but again no where near the levels of some similar games.

im of the opinion that the chinese developed ones tend to be better on this and my pet theory for arknights specifically as to why its more reasonable with sexualisation is because it tried to accrue an audience in the west as well, and i guess they didnt want negative publicity from like comrade sarkeesian delivering a basic feminist critique on why 9350 year old dragons are kind of problematic.
