Yeah, but do you expect GRRM to change things significantly? I can think of the whole mission Davos was sent on to that universe's version of the Burmuda Triangle or whatever, but that's the only thing I can imagine being something significantly different.
There are so many more pieces in play in the books than there are in the show. I honestly could see the ending being significantly different, especially if Martin remembers better than the showrunners did that Tyrion is capable of being a villain

the show pretty much ignored almost everything introduced in AFFC/ADWD and cut and rearranged the rest to fit their shock value doctrine
the books already have changed significantly, and they did so before a show was made
He's been pretty clear that the show did not closely flow the outline he gave them and that his plans have changed even more since then.

There were plot lines in the book that were not addresses in the show. It'll probably be better. Even just not rushing things would be good
