In the "Cars" universe the TSA exist meaning 9/11 happened. So that means islamic terrorism exists in the car universe. So yes the Taliban are probably part of the car universe.

the Taliban weren't involved in 9/11. Bin Laden went to hide in Afghanistan after because it's the middle of nowhere, the americans asked the taliban to hand him over and the taliban said no.

what you have to remember is that the Taliban aren't americans so not appreciating how mad the americans were about 9/11 they thought America wants this guy, America is rich, if we play hardball to start the negotiations they might pay us to give him over.

The American's were at the highest level genuinely outraged about 9/11 and being American's couldn't consider that the Taliban not being Americans might not understand this so when they saw the taliban be reluctant to hand over Bin Laden they took it as a declaration of sides in a war.

the Taliban didn't understand the outrage about 9/11 as only a couple thousand people died a lot of them had lived through the soviet Afghan war America making such a big deal about it is weird from a global perspective

I didnt say the Taliban did 9/11. I said islamic terrorism is a thing in the cars universe. Which leads me to belive that the Taliban would be probably a thing since they are an Islamic terrorist organization. The cars universe is basically just a mirror version of our world but with sentient vehicles even WW2 happened there.
