Hostile comments still up despite breaking sitewide rules, some type of protection is in place and this is undeniable because you refuse to do your job. Nobody on Earth can argue that these comments are not hostile, and that’s a site wide rule many other users have been banned for
So she can go up to the line of screaming expletives, but nobody else can? Interesting. I would be banned for her comment in a heartbeat. Sounds like they had a bad take, but I’ve definitely seen them say straight up pro-Soviet and communist things before. I think for someone outside the country it might be easier to get cultural wires crossed and get confused about something that happens in another culture, not defending any take they may have had.
Also, might be news to some but boomer communists from ex-soviet areas tend to be a bit behind the times on cultural issues. That’s definitely the light that I see him in, and he still has good insight into the topics he discusses and has not said anything reactionary that I have seen - but mostly avoids those topics
