Depends on how far you are from cis white male. As far as I know Seattle and the surrounding areas are good if you're queer but can be pretty rough if you're black.
Portland? Okay for white people, pretty bad for people of color.
Aside from some Jewish heritage, I am a full-blown cracker so I should be fine in that department unless we get any "one drop rule" nutjobs. When you mention being cis or straight....that's a little more complicated, as I am gay. So fortunately, all the minority groups I am a part of in any conceivable way are invisible.
Plus the wilderness there is hard to beat, that's for sure.
