    I can see the logic behind age of consent reflecting age-based power disparity, but if you follow it to its natural conclusion, it means that the current age of consent is too low*. Which would be an actual present-day moral crisis, which you'd notice and call attention to if you actually got there from moral reasoning, instead of from trying to come up with a hypothetical future where you're allowed to fuck children.

    *The student loan debt crisis means 18-30 year olds have a lot less power and freedom than they had when the age of consent laws were established.
