god I love all the modern dinosaur shit, science is so fucking pog

I fell asleep watching this video once and woke up towards the end sleep paralyzed and extremely anxious with dino growls rumbling in my ear. What an experience lmao. Really sucked in the moment, but had a good laugh to myself after.

if you want giant predatory lizards, there's always mosasaurs, which are basically just whale-sized aquatic monitor lizards, which is one of the most impressive and batshit insane things evolution has ever come up with. sometimes i wonder if the cretaceous period was just the most fascinating era for life on earth, if anything coming after us will ever be as cool as that again.

Anything that can bite down hard enough to pulverize Triceratops bones or crack an ankylosaur shell is by definition scary as fuck. T. rex is definitely a good pick.

Personally i'm more scared of large azhdarchids like Quetzalcoatlus, tho. Just look at that beak, it's a giraffe sized marabou. ever seen marabou storks go to town on a bunch of offal? Absolutely foul, ghoulish fuckers. The idea that one of them could be large enough to just swoop down and impale a human with that murder weapon of a beak is absolutely the fuel of nightmares.

Oh hey, I've been meaning to share this! He has like 10 different videos of Jurassic Park clips with these sounds and it's honestly pretty cool.

He has another video where he explains his methods by editing bird chirps into a whale call and vice versa.

This video's description is much more in depth and comprehensive, but in summary back in 2013 scientists found a dinosaur-era bird fossil with a syrinx, which let's birds whistle and sing. This also kind of confirmed that dinos did not share this voice bone.

feel I should mention about this guy...

his channel *used to be called 'slaver studios':what-the-hell: I'm also fairly certain he made a cumtown and/or Joe Rogan edit at one point and has subsequently deleted those. There's also that one video poking fun at some (thankfully) unnamed onlyfans user. *He's at the very least self aware, but I distinctly remember the mild whiplash I got after appreciating all of the dino videos he has.
