    Lemmy folks don't even read the article or watch the video in the title, they just react. Several of my anti-casteist news articles posted on /c/india@lemmy.ml, were down-voted to oblivion.

      Don't think downvotes should be a thing tbh. Just enforces majority opinion even when it's wrong.

      Some instances like Hexbear, Reddthat and Blahaj have downvotes disabled though.
