These nerds are so into fantasy sports that they practice before they do it, and this guy's making a mockery of their mock draft by picking people who get media coverage but won't be any good this season, like football players imprisoned for murder.

You pick players from different teams all over the league to be "your team" for the season. If they do well, you get points. Lots of people play for fun or gamble on these fantasy sports, so the serious gamblers often do mock drafts to iron out a tactic for the real draft of their league. hope that makes sense.
