    Is the newest booster out yet? I've been kind of waiting to try and get the most recent one available and have not been keeping up with it's release

      Yeah, mine is scheduled for Saturday. My hospital said to get it, regardless of how many boosters you've had. I'm hoping that with three of the original shots, plus having covid for the first time four weeks ago, plus the BA4/5 booster shot I hopefully won't die this winter.

      I've been kinda following it because I also want it.

      I believe they have approved it and I should be available this week in some places and more places throughout the month

    My worst fear is that I catch covid getting one of these shots. I'm immunocompromised and with every shot, the world is more dangerous for me because people give less of a shit over time.

      I don't know exactly but it seems many pharmacies across the US have fucked up masking rules. The last time I got a booster is an example. I went to a store/pharmacy and the mask "rules" were pure idiocy. The pharmacy had a mask rule and the employees were masked and customers were told to mask. But the rest of the store had no rules so it wasn't even consistent for employees. The guy at the register and a clerk were maskless.

      The punchline is that the space were nearly everybody was in was walking around or sitting in was about the size of a two (or maybe three) bedroom apartment.

        Yeah, Walgreens/CVS are the only places with vaccines around here. Pharmacists mask (by choice these days, not forced, so it's inconsistent) and no one else in the store masks.

    Huh? Even my dogshit insurance pays for flu shots because they don't want to pay for your hospital visit if you get unlucky. Surely COVID would fall in the same category?

      Covid funding ran out. It's a fiasco and a farce. Once in a while dems quietly try to get it started again. During all of this the media doesn't even pretend to give a single fuck. We are over covid, right?
