thats it. They're still so seething about how it 'destroyed the canon' or whatever. Its got to be some of the most weird form of movie brain worms that they just hated that movie instead of Revenge of Skywalker or whatever it was called, which was one of the worst movies of all time.
I thought TFA was an uninspired reboot that just took beats from A New Hope and put new labels on them. That isn't Tatooine, it's Jakuu. That wasn't Coruscant that just blew up (though Abrams wanted to break that toy too, but was stopped), that was Hosnian Prime. Those aren't Sith, they are "Knights of Ren," and so on.
Worse, it unraveled the new Jedi Order and for that matter the New Republic within single scenes because Abrams is a hack and wanted his reboot that rebooted.
Any defense of TLJ that uses TFA won't sway me much. :edgeworth-shrug:
Yeah I mean I think all the sequels/prequels are shit, but I'm probably not the target audience
