The US, Europe and their colonies/vassals are all imploding and we've resoundingly failed to create any kind of socialist structures that could fill the void once collapse reaches a tipping point. GG capitalists, you win.

So now the only question is, how long will the new dark age last before large-scale societies can re-coalesce? I'm guessing at least a few generations. Also what do you think will be the dominant economic form during this period? Small scale communalism? Neofuedalism? A combo of both? Something else entirely?

    There is no guarantee that they will. If a major world war or unchecked climate change cause a near extinction of humans it would take possibly thousands of years to recover if ever.
