this one is just fucking depressing. a tiny inconsequential scam underpinned by the gig-economified exploitation of workers. this shit is just happening more and more in more and more places:internet-delenda-est:

Writers have always had a pretty raw deal throughout history, but this modern " gig-economified exploitation" is taking it to a turbo super charged level of bad.

Scams in general have been out of control since the pandemic. I've even heard normies say stuff like "everything is a money making scam these days". It has always been this way but it has gotten way way worse.

Does this dude have a teaching background? He talks like a teacher (in a good way), he seems like has lecturing with a camera rather than "making a youtube video". He's one of the 17 online white dudes I trust and respect.

Right on! He seems to naturally speak like a PBS-style broadcaster. His videos and presenation are very appealing to me, no frills and gimmicks. Just good content and commuicated well.

    Spoilers for the vid:

The $2500/month was bad but what I expected. When he said it was a tenth of that, I was in so my shock I actually couldn't believe it. Then I read the comments and learned that some American started the writing grift training and was the only Westerner there and it made much more sense. So not only is it a layered grift, its exploiting the third world and barely paying more then they can expect with a local job.

I put him up there with Shaun, Tom Scott, and HBomberguy when he isn't into a niche video game rabbit hole.

As somebody who struggled in the gig economy for a while, this was really painful to watch when he was showing how much work these people were expected to do for so little money. The gig economy is one of the most soul-draining manifestations of capitalism, and I hope these Mikkelsen fucks and that shit-assed Mohtinos (whatever, the fucks that run the online ghostwriting thing) die violently.
