irl people usually fill in the ع's "circle" if you wanna call it that
in the chart you had posted ع had a filled in loop so thats what lead to my mistake, besides in this font medial form of these letters does look very similar

There are some useful websites to supplement your studies but they are not for absolute beginners. Anki can be very useful, provided you make your own flaschards
