    I still hold that kids don’t have any sort of identity until they are 11-13 or so. At least I didn’t. Complete sponge without a single opinion or position of my own

      I've heard from a lot of people that they knew their gender identity by the time they were like six. Obviously not everyone, but it happens. Same thing with knowing if you're gay or not, a lot of kids figure out who they're attracted to well before puberty.

          Yeah, I think I was like 7 when I had my first crush, on one of my sisters friends who was like 19 at the time.

          Obviously nothing sexual about it at all at that age, I just knew she was the best thing ever lol

        I had an inkling of an idea I was trans before I was 11 but it didn't matter at all to me until puberty started then I turned into a suicidal zombie

        Yeah, I was pretty clear who I was attracted to by then. Just wanted to be around the girl in my class who always wore the pretty purple bow all the time.
