It's a blue curtain grab-bag of pretty much every sci-fi property that Chris Roberts ever watched, with a slathering of car commercial aesthetics and techbro luxury pretenses over it all with bleak 90s malls everywhere and a quasi-Roman aesthetic.

Just woke up and I'm not totally sure if this is the right video or not but IIRC the world he built doesn't work on like, a general level and a huge part of it is his obsession with both explaining everything, and also wanting to jerk himself off over aesthetics, leading to a world that's very confident in how much it doesn't function.
Notice how many le 40k people are in the comments defending the idea of space empire without any hint that they understand that 40k was (originally, anyway) supposed to be satire and show a failing system that makes most of its populace suffer and die horribly.

:yea: game is fun and all but jesus christ gamers were a mistake. staff have done the bare minimum and deleted the homophobic remarks, locked the thread, and reiterated their zero tolerance policy. Thats good right? :rage-cry:
If only all Star Citizen subscribers could be treated with this level of rudeness, entirely for being a bunch of fucking rubs. Hopefully this guy will learn his lesson and go take up a less toxic hobby.
