Over on :reddit-logo:, I stated that anyone who wants to ruin Elon’s day should just post 12 year old :reddit-logo: memes. Or maybe point out Elon likes 12 year old…memes :epstein:. I’m not on twitter anymore because that data is definitely being sold to my local law enforcement pigs.

Don't be so negative and paranoid. There is no war your local law enforcement is paying a single dollar for that information. Ever heard of a little thing called pro bono?

I mean yes, and I fucking HATE saying this, but - at least that is a real world material military conflict that is being contributed to. While it sucks and is wrong, this particular 44 billion is just....

The fucking bird website. I hate it.

It's just a transfer of money. Stuff like this is a lot better than making bombs because it's just rich people power politics. Buying Twitter is probably the least harmful thing Musk could do with money. I like it when rich people spend money to do nothing.

Pretty sure that was just one package. They’ve seen like 200 $50 billion packages over there afterwards

Well the amount of money is kind of immaterial because it's just stocks or something. There's no actual labor being done because of the "acquisition". It's not like Musk buying Twitter is diverting resources from building housing or something lol. Of course rich people's other projects often do. But I feel like saying that amount of money could do such and such thing isn't really true.

Imagine if he did. Or even used that wealth to do exactly what he had going for him: he would be the tech guru that saved climate change! Sure, he is seen as this already, but if he pulled a Carnegie and used his immense wealth to permanently solve climate change: he definitely would have gone down in history as a hero and served as the inspiration for a generation to get into science.

Instead, we got a fucking manchild redditor who then bought Twitter because he wanted to make the "le epic trolls" of the world happy.

Has Trump gotten his account back yet or is Elon making him bend the knee first?

I met a traveller from The Twitterland
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near in the VR
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed:
And on the pedestal these words appear:
"My name is Elon Musk, billionaire and king
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level Mars stretch far away.
