So basically the dumbass fired everybody except the STEMlords that are required for the website to function. It's fascinating because he's doing a real-time experiment to see how a company would function if you fire everybody without a STEM degree. I feel like he's gonna get a really expensive lesson about the value of humanities and social studies.
Oh he fired a bunch of the STEM people too. I saw a thread from an SRE (Site Reliability Engineer, i.e. the people who keep the site up and running) saying that a bunch of his colleagues had been cut.
The rumor now is that he fired the engineers who wrote the least code, which makes about as much sense as firing carpenters who used the least wood.
