I'm fairly critical, so there's not too many on my list, but the biggest one is that I liked Quest 64 (somehow) when I was younger.

I also love La Mulana 1&2, along with Deadly Premonition, though those are more "cult hits" aka critical failures that 'widely disliked'. But, I'd definitely hesitate to recommend any of them to someone unless I thought they'd be into it.

I've dumped an unholy amount of hours into GTA Online over the years (not money though, I've glitched all of it 😎), though I acknowledge the game largely sucks and exists to also suck money out of your wallet by making various things in it into giant chores they sell shortcuts to bypass.

I honestly mostly just like the game I see in it when I squint, a sort of immersive multiplayer simulation rpg where you can go from basic street crime to operating giant criminal enterprises while piloting submarines in a big open world, and with deep character customisation and progression. It's just cool to cruise around in the city in a car you've lovingly customised as your own little criminal guy

Someone should take Star Citizen money and make a game that is that but without the janky GTA arcade bullshit and being built around monetisation
