Create a threat model. Think of internet privacy like a street fight. Imagine there's a guy on the street and he turns around to you to start a fight. Do you think you'll win the fight?
The correct response is "how old is he, what height & weight, why is he fighting me, is he armed?". Apply the same idea here. Privately donate: private from who? The IRS? Companies tracking you? Hackers/phishers? The person who you donate to?
what information do you wish to keep from who? Answer that question whenever you're wondering stuff like this, and you'll be much better prepared to find a solution.
