I was kind of shocked when I found out what Roko's basilisk actually is. I thought there was at least going to be SOMETHING to it.

I do a unit on thought experiments when I teach into to philosophy, and pretty much 100% of students basically say "that's fucking stupid" when I describe this one. The kids are alright.
