      "They're so bad they're good(tm)! It's a train wreck and I can't look away! I only watch them ironically(tm)!"

-the nearly universal justification given that made them profitable enough to keep being made.

          deconstructions

For some edgelords and hipsters, "deconstruction" just means tearing something to pieces and shitting all over it and congratulating oneself and the audience for bravery.

          smart satire

For some people, :trump-anguish: and/or :my-hero: are the smartest men in the world. There may be some overlap with that someone you mentioned.

This is only a viable reason to like something if the creator is actually trying hard to make something they think is good/genius. You can appreciate their strange perspective and be entertained by unusual antics and poor craftsmanship.

When the film is intentionally bad then it’s lost any artistic merit or interest from me. Why should I bother watching something even the creator doesn’t believe in or like? I’m supposed to be entertained by their cynicism and meta-ironic lack of interest? Maybe the first time but that shtick gets old fast and we are still in want of a good story
