The reason it's funny is cause :brace-cowboy: has featured in two of his videos now, and there's a chance he'll appear in the HBO series that's about to come out.

Brace going mainstream (even fringe mainstream) is the funniest timeline to me

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if TrueAnon went mainstream. Covers a lot of topics that don’t get covered anywhere else and Brace & Liz are just the right combination of funny and informative, and in a way that I think would be appealing well beyond leftist circles. It’s probably the best overall podcast out right now imo.

Most recent episode or the one before that he literally, earnestly called himself a Maoist. He also alluded to a friend in the Philippines who he asked about armed political movements but wouldn't say anything more about her "organization". Like I would seriously bet money Brace has friends in the NPA. It would not exactly be outlandish. You listen to older commies and socialists and they will casually drop having acquaintances in Hezbollah or the FRELIMO

pretty sure he spent like 6 months doing "something" over there. he got an interview out of it but not sure what was going on for the other 5.9 mos. he seems like he's legit active in some real stuff in the world and too much of an asshole to just be some op.

He went with an international election oversight thingy, probably only legal way for him to enter the country. My guess is that that stuff just took a longer time to set up and then head there, etc. I assume you are on the organizations time so if they wanna go a month early (which iirc is closer to what it was) you do it.

most maoists are not aligned with the fkn shining path lmao they're just MLMs. I don't know why you'd say he could be an ML but somehow doubt MLM

Given how popular Joe Rogan is, I think covering these sorts of topics would make them more popular, not less. Like, I feel like I could easily recommend TrueAnon to Rogan-listening coworkers and they’d probably like it, whereas there’s no way I could do that with something like Rev Left Radio.
