I'm actually not sure, I feel like a steel ball would lose the fight against most car windows. No idea whether I'm right but it just sounds right to me. Maybe they'd be heavy/dense enough to just go straight through, but I would not be surprised to see them bounce.

Cause the deal with breaking car windows is minimizing surface area, right? I don't think spheres are the best at that.
