• Continue to claim the leaked license was a draft, which is not true. It was given to publishers to sign and was leaked by those who refused.

  • Claim publishers own their IP and copyright and WOTC can't do anything without permission, which is very misleading, because by signing the contract, you give WOTC the permission to use your IP for whatever purpose they see fit as long as they see fit without any compensation.

  • A six month grace period for transition from 1.0a to 1.1 (now called 2.0). This is only applicable if you sign the new contract, which means you are locked in it anyways, and give up your right to continue publishing under 1.0a. Which, legally, you can continue to do (unless you sign the new contract, which is the point). They want to deprive you of that right.

  • Reducing the royalties from 25% to 20%, which is still fucking devastating. If these terms were applied to WOTC, they themselves would go bankrupt. This is just a ploy to keep third party publishers as small as possible, and to bankrupt any that threaten to grow big.

All in all, OGL 2.0 continues to be a fucking scam and y'all should cancel your DNDBeyond subs if you have one.
