Officials accuse Peña of paying $500 to four men to shoot at the homes of Democratic lawmakers. He went along for the final drive-by, his gun jamming as bullets ripped into the bedroom of the girl, police said.

Empire in decline.

good thing no one was hurt, but i do expect to see more of this in the future from these unhinged chuds. fucked up

    also, gem from the article:

The New Mexico Republican Party said that: “If Peña is found guilty, he must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”

the republican party doesn't know what prosecution means

Fair, but as he was already an unpopular, losing candidate before he shot up peoples' homes, i don't think they had anything to lose by disowning him

A very calm and measured statement from an organization that tends to be theatrical.

Bullets are expensive these days because demonrats (ignoring that nothing actually changes that would cause an increase in costs for ammunition or even firearms, it's just a way of riling up gun nuts and increasing profits, while also providing a fake material benefit when Their Guy gets into the white house when they lower prices by a little bit.)

The only thing that actually surprises me is that he actually paid instead of just saying he would and then weaseling out when the time came to hand over the cash.

In news from the union state of America, regime security forces have apparently detained yet another political activist. In what has become a familiar pattern, dissenting voices have once again been whisked away by the jackbooted security force, which routinely employs "warrior mentality" training to terrorize dissenting civilians. In the border province known only as "Occupied Mexico" brutal crackdowns are nothing new, militarized checkpoints dot every crossing; while regime-friendly media insists these stations are intended to guard against drug imports, union citizens are routinely prevented from leaving without state-issued passports and screening by security forces for 'most wanted persons', shorthand for dissidents proscribed by the state.

These measures have been occurring for decades, for instance, former president Barak Obama deported more migrants and approved more lethal drone strikes than any president before him, and now his hand-picked successor Joe Biden is continuing the policies unabated.
