Spoilers:

Lots of leftist adjacent themes. Pro veganism (for some animals) pro acab (daughter shrunk a cop car cuz they were beating up innocent protesters and tearing down homeless encampments) pro revolution and indigenous rights (big subplot about Kang colonising and displacing the quantum people) and surprisingly we got a pro-socialism mention (old guy says socialism is a charged word but it works for ants).

Action was decent. I am high, watching it in 3D on seats that move. I can’t really judge the plot or anything lol. The backgrounds and creature design were cool on their own but they didn’t look realistic at all. So when you added humans it looked awful. Some nice music too.

I’d give this a 7/10 tbh.

I should clarify, spoilers, in the movie the ants go through a time dilation bubble and live through thousands of years, advancing technology and emerging as a really advanced species to save the day. In that sense, old guy isn’t just saying ants are socialists, but that these ants achieved so much because they’re socialists, which I think is neat. Then you add in the pro-revolution, acab, indigenous messaging and it makes for a cool lil thing in the movie.
