Wow, I totally believe that some random Ukrainians rented a small sailboat, filled it with hundreds of pounds of explosives and high tech diving gear, and then managed to plant the explosives hundreds of feet below the surface on the middle of a busy shipping lane. That's definitely what happened.

This is such a bad cover story that the reporters can't even prevent themselves from questioning it. Didn't stop the NYT from running a big headline tho.

        Seems kinda like a means of slowly getting everyone to accept the inevitable (the the US did it).

        Similar to how years after the invasion of Iraq, everyone was in agreement that "well of course there were no WMDs"
