I mean, I've heard descriptions of Bipolar episodes leading to psychosis, and I dont see why nazi conspiracy shit would be less believable for someone to start believing under psychosis than shit like aliens or space nazis beaming into their brain and draining their precious fluids.

It could equally be the case that he believes nazi shit the regular way too and whatever mental health problems he has going on just removed the self-awareness and control that is necessary to not just yell "I LOVE HITLER" out loud on a broadcast interview.
