OnlyFans girls better make money faster now before the AI thing starts really breaking boundaries.

yes, easy money will dry up fast

:reddit-logo:

that's the average hot girl on onlyfans. Those kids who pay for those subscriptions have no clue these girls are fucking somebody, and that somebody is likely their pimp or boyfriend managing their accounts.

Kids are clueless about the sex industry and fell into a fantasy that they are "fans". No, they are the prey these girls get rich on. Imagine paying for some text messages. Jesus, get an escort and at least fuck her. What the heck is wrong with people?

Another industry destroyed? 100% ethical AI generated porn...

Will it be ethical to create porn in the likeness of Emma Watson, or a personal unreciprocated crush?

Emma Watson was my first celebrity boner. I'm personally not going to make hideous vanilla porn. Instead I'm going to roleplay with her in ChatGPT or Claude. In future, she will be my wife in full dive VR world.

That very last one was the thread's OP.

I don’t think you need to panic.

If you wanna be materialist about it, let’s consider this. Assume that in the near future the tech will get good enough that the majority of the population has the potential to be more happy than unhappy interacting with no one the vast majority of the time. What would be the incentive to actually scale that up and make it a reality? A ruling class living detached from physical reality cannot rule. A working class detached from physical reality cannot work. At most, some sizable minority of each class could become part of this trend.

This would all require extensive infrastructure. Even in the version of the world straight out of every tech bro’s imagination where work has largely been automated away, you need repair people. You can’t do anything beyond maintaining current systems, with diminishing returns, without basic socialization. Essentially, there’s no incentive to scale up that lifestyle even if it becomes possible. At the very least, people need to have sex for that to last more than a single generation.

Personally, I’m significantly less worried about the specific effects this tech will have than I am about the gradual piecemeal crumbling of society as the contradictions of capitalism heighten.
