Love to be an anarchist that is against leaking of classified information and for the state showing off its military might over an arrest. Good stuff.

i mean it would be funny if the feds were hounding this leaker guy for being a weird fascist pedophile, but that's not what's happening, they're after him for leaking classified information. Their intention is to maintain imperialism. That's what's happening here.

goddamn, I hate Robert Evans so much. His podcast is kind of interesting but he's frequently the wrongest person

Seymour Hersh: No one should take Bellingcat seriously. They're a public arm of the US intelligence community.

Bellingcat: Take that back! That's insane conspiracy theory you Russian stooge! We don't represent the interests of the American state at all!

Immediately begins investigation to find, report, & dox leaker of US government documents, cheers for excessive intimidation of whistleblowers during his capture.

yeah but in further context this is the feds sending 5 helicopter and soldiers with rifles and full combat gear to arrest one 21 year old who leaked pentagon documents in a video game chatroom, which I do admit is a hilarious waste of resources

that's scary to me though, because this is what they do to people who are white and ideologically on their side. They arrested this guy without incident and he'll probably get a trial. Chelsea Manning is what happens to people they don't like, thrown in jail without trial for a decade. What happens to people they really don't like? Abu Ghraib or drone strike

Imagine being an “anarchist” who gets hard over a reactionary state arresting a leaker with 100 helicopters armed with hellfire missiles

Sure, but would you actively aid the feds? That’s what fedvans and his friends at bellingcop did. They aren’t just spectators laughing, they are active participants in the fascist state security apparatus

Twitter Anarchists fucking love supporting the state. I really don't know how IRL anarchists live with them since they must constantly be on the verge of calling the cops every time there's a minor argument at a homeless shelter.

leaking state secrets is only good if the leaker is pure of heart and passes my approved internet culture checklist.

Let's say, just for the sake of argument :shapiro-gavel: that the leaker was an anarcho syndicalist with free market characteristics like CIwriteokAy here. Who thinks he would still be mad because the leaks are hurting stavy-ukraini war efforts against imperialist Russia? He would probably give some shitty long-winded rant about how we can't be so eager to hurt the US that we accidentally embolden Russia.

I prefer to look on the bright side. Sure, bad things are gonna happen to me, but worse things happen to my political enemies, who have irritated me so consistently for so long that i don't really want to live that badly anyways

He has this weird fascination with reactionaries doing epic violence as ant-like horde guerillas too in that "It Could Happen Here" podcast. Dude gives me fucked vibes in general.

They would’ve kept him in the military if he didn’t leak anything, even if his Nazi affiliations were public and well known. And Fedvans and his ilk would cheer him on and call you a tankie if you said “maybe they shouldn’t have Nazis in the military”

The leaks are (in isolation) good and fascists getting Foucoult's boomerang to hit them in the back of the head is also good and funny on its own.I think there's always the possibility of him being a limited hangout (he's an Air Force Reservist, like what the fuck is he doing with info about Ukraine and grain reserves anyways?)

Another option is a factional dispute, the US military has been clear that it has a different opinion from the Politicians and the Contractors on the war (mostly because they'd prefer to keep their bombs for brown people.) and this might be a deliberate leak to strengthen this politically.

He’s 21 and a Nazi and in the military?

I wish I could see his reaction when he found out he wouldn’t be serving under Trump.

Zoomer fascism getting their ass kicked by establishment imperialism while government secrets are spilled all over the internet is good and most importantly, funny

On the one hand, get fucked Nazi. On the other, nice to see the Chuds slow realisation that the NY Times and Washington Post doesn't give a single fuck about protecting leakers and in fact will actively collaborate.

A few years from now, people posting classified technical manuals to the Warthunder forum is going to feel like such an old-fashioned, dignified form of leaking.
