IMO the
bestworst parts were probably2. The poetry class the white daughter repeatedly goes to in blackface, where she writes and performs slam poetry
1. When when she goes to the poetry class she's been attending and informs them that she's wearing blackface
The moment when the young black son revealed to the group of white yuppies that he was actually a black person with the attitude that it didn't matter, and then gave them all the n-word pass, and then instantly regretted it absolutely destroyed me. Like watching a train wreck where the train does not stop wrecking and is several miles long, lasting for many minutes
The show is a masterpiece. I legitimately think that everyone on this site should watch it.
I really do think that as unhinged as it is, it does exactly what it sets out to do, that is to show how awful and annoying white liberals are from across the lib-spectrum.
It's a very painful watch. I can't stomach it without Hasan or someone like him in between me and it. Still, I suppose it does something for me in the way that crossfit must be doing something by making your muscles hurt so much.
Oh yeah, Hasan really is a must.
It's cringe yeah, but without him, it really feels too surreal.
