Main bed has a few cherry & celebrity tomatos, etuida & habenaro peppers, rattail & diakon radishes, zuchinni, and crookneck squash interplanted all around the perimeter, but the main bulk of the square-footage in center is edamame, snap peas, and cave beans. Want to grow pop & sweet corn next year so trying to get some free nitrogen in.
Also started a small perinneal veg bed i've got asperagus in, and plan to put in artichokes in the fall. Right now ive got bokchoy in where the artichokes will go, but i didnt know what i was doing and they got too much sun and all of them bolted. Free seed i guess.
Also put in some blue, black, rasp, wild straw & goumi berry starters this year and they're thriving. Also put in some pomegranites but they aint done shit, but pomegranites mid so not worried.
Have couple of black fig starters on the way, and trying to germinate some paw-paw & american chestnuts. (supposedly blight resistant, fingers crossed) May have to get a bit more light in later when they grow up a bit, but thats just fine, becuase any trees i cut down go in the mushroom pile.
Innoculated a set of oak & sweetgum logs last year with oyster mushrooms, lionsmane, and chicken of the woods. Got a small offering from the first two at the start of the year, still waiting to see if the CotW took.
EDIT: Oh yeah, potatos and onions and garlic. Tore up a very stupid planter bed next to the house that was filled with mint, holly bushes, and some weird looking elephant ears(though it was taro, was not taro, do not eat elephant ear tubers). Took like, a year and half to sterilize it, and then it sat empty till i shoved bad groceries in it.
Trying some leafy greens this year, lettuce, spinach, arugula, which seem to be coming along fine. Not sure if my peppers will come in because I got lazy and direct sowed them instead of starting indoors and it might get a little cold soon
2nd year in a row that almost all my outside plants died due to shitty weather and not enough sunlight on my porch, so I've decided to toy with indoor hydro growing.
I got something similar to this for Christmas and threw some seeds I had laying around in it and ended up with a fucking shit tonne of thai basil and mint, and I grew it in fucking Winter. It's awesome. No aphids, no worrying about weather or sunlight or temperature or anything. So I ended up building a DWC bucket for a ghost pepper plant that I've been nursing and it's going pretty well. Had to deal with some water leaks and shit which was not fun but it's a learning process.
Moving to a new place soon where I'll have a lot more room to experiment, plus a backyard that I can do whatever I want with which should get a lot more sunlight too :party-cat:
I'd love to build something like this in my new basement for some leafy greens like spinach, arugula, and lettuce.

That's what I keep reading. I've seriously tried two years in a row to germinate passion fruit seeds - dozens of them - and not a single fucking one has sprouted.
I've tried soaking them, sanding the sides to get rid of the shell, everything I've read on how to improve germination rate. NOTHING.
Got any tips lol?
No, in my childhood home every year it simply growed, clinged to the algarrobo, and shaded it almost completely. Flowers were pretty but nothing compared to some species/varieties. Never tried the fruits.
The soil were it growed was an always-wet ditch

Impressed with the answers here. We could start a hex bear food co-op. For my part I am on year two of trying to replace as much of my acre and a half or so with native perennial fruit/nut trees (beach plum, Saskatoon, hazelnut, hickory, walnut, elderberry, sand cherry, etc) clover, wildflowers, and annual vegetables. Also other useful stuff like corn, weed, comfrey and nitrogen fixers.
Citrus, berries, salad greens, anything that can handle California weather especially in summertime. :greensicko:

olives, grapes, citrus, pear, apple, and figs at the moment. Just harvested my favas and looking forward to the tomatoes, peppers, aubergines, and zucchini this summer!
Albion strawberries baybeee, resistant to many common pests and diseases, everbearing, and won't even slow down production in heat that would kill other strains.
Tomatoes in containers, and small pickle cucumbers for the first time. It's my first time trying a therapeutic garden in my tiny apartment. Here's hoping they work out :)

I currently have 4 varieties of tomatoes, habaneros, jalapenos, cayennes, Marconi peppers, banana peppers, bell peppers, and dragon's tongue beans.
Just harvested a ton of cherries, and my other fruit trees look pretty happy too. Got some corn and other veggies growing but my cats keep shitting there, and then my dogs dig up the plant bed in search for those shit nuggets they enjoy so much.
