Lot of instant coffee lately. French press was much better while still being pretty economical but then you have to wash it.

FWIW you don't have to wash a French press more often than you do an automatic coffee maker. A rinse is fine.

lol the washing and sludge-tossing does kinda suck, especially first thing in the morning. strongly recommend the evening rinse routine.

I balled out with a lever press machine at the start of covid, it's kind of falling apart now but I really like making home espresso. I buy some beans from a local roaster because they're readily available in the corner store. Medium roast usually, but dark roast is nice in ice lattes.

Manual espresso press (great investment btw) and either Zapatista or Columbian coffee. I usually make it as an Americano :maduro-coffee:

Love my manual espresso press too. So much fun with different pressure profiles. What’s your favorite?

Aero Press with locally roasted beans from the grocery store, ground medium -fine with a burr grinder.

Edit: for tea I'll usually get Twinnings English breakfast in teabags, or loose leaf green tea from the local Asian market.

I use a moka pot sometimes, it's great. I can do fancy stuff like a sorta-latte, or just a quick Americano. The output isn't exactly like espresso, but it's pretty strong and tasty. Also they're cheap, though you need a decent grinder.

regular drip, normal Colombian supermarket coffee (Sello Rojo)

I have tried a bunch of single-source hacienda coffees from around the country and still like Sello Rojo better

With an electric kettle and the cheapest maxwell house bulk instant coffee you can get.

Gonna shrug my way through everyone telling me I'm an idiot.

Try putting the instant coffee in a shaker with your milk+sugar (sweetened condense milk can replace both), then adding ice and shaking until the ice is gone.

      Alternately, blend.

Only use for instant coffee IME.

I use an AeroPress I was gifted. It's pretty good, but I'm also pretty sure it's contributing to my microplastic ingestion.

Aldi’s vacuum sealed bags of “mild German roast coffee” that I use to refill a Winn Dixie brand coffee tin, which I make in either a drip coffee machine or French press that are also both from Aldi

i use either an Aeropress or a Bodum pour over (if i want to destroy myself with too much caffeine) I was getting Zapatista coffee from a local distributor but they stopped carrying them for some reason so I've just been buying Aldi beans right now.

i just shelled out for a fancy burr grinder and it rules.

    French press only.

I don't live in the US, so it's pretty easy to buy Cuban coffee at the store. It's good :fidel-cool:
