    Just pick a real-life example - Sardar Uddham Singh (link is a short movie recap). He was a early-communist revolutionary from India. Just like his comrades, he has killed high-ranking British officers, with support from the Communist International, IRA, and overseas members of HSRA to avenge his dead family, relatives and friends.
