There was a solid decade or so, starting in the 90s, where corporate media had this horrible habit of cramming the title :maybe-later-honey: "REALITY BYTES" :maybe-later-kiddo: everywhere it could (with anything involving technology or the nascent internet) to try to be hip and with it with the then-younger Gen-X apathy-and-ennui crowd. It was fucking infuriating because it was everywhere for a while. It wasn't a good pun the first time, and I like puns. :guts-rage:

Slightly related: fuuuuuuck "reality checks" and the smarmy way the term was usually delivered. :maybe-later-honey: :maybe-later-kiddo:

1970's wide leg jeans from Brittania and Star. One swift breeze in the snow up your legs and yowch. Also when they get wet they were so heavy and flopped the legs against each other. It was miserable.

I like wide leg, even "Secret Pants", but I live in a warm climate and not having a quarter inch of denim on your leg on a 40c day is an advantage.
